What is Nonprofit Web Design?

Don’t worry about toying with code or plugins or complicated software.
All you need to know are the things that your organization is focused on the most. I’ll take care of the rest.

  • An optimal user-experience on every page.

Step 1. Kick-Off

We sit down and discuss your nonprofit together. The who, what, when, where and why of what you do. We also discuss any current branding or logos you have and what goals you have for the oncoming year.

Step 2. Brand Identity

I develop a brand identity for you, either from scratch or based on your existing materials. The brand identity is a set of visual components that signify your nonprofit. These components can be carried into social media graphics, a new logo, whatever you end up creating.

Step 3. Mockups

Given the info I have about your goals, your nonprofit, and your brand identity, you’ll be presented with 2D mockups of what your site can and will look like. We’ll go over them and tweak them until you’re madly in love. They will show not only what the site will look like, but all the processes and systems involved.

Step 4. Build

All that’s left to do is build it! The site will be mobile optimized, optimized for the quickest speeds possible, and just plain fun to use.

Content Management System

The content management system or CMS is the way you work with your site on the back end. With a CMS, you have the ability to edit, update, and manage the content of your site with just a few clicks. I use WordPress exclusively as my CMS for nonprofit web design. Why? It’s robust and powerful, but perfect for the novice user. Most people have worked with WordPress already at least once before.

Easy to Use

Maintaining your website is a continuous endeavor. Whether you update your content once a year or once a day, it’s crucial that your team be able to make the necessary changes when the time comes. I provide one-on-one free unlimited WordPress training for life.

Flexible

Flexibility is essential when it comes to nonprofit websites. Depending on your goals and mission, your site will reflect the most important message to your audience. Plugins and Divi Theme allow us to build you something that is completely one of a kind.

Who actually is BEAM?

Believe it or not – it’s one person! I’m Allie Nimmons and I have been working in web design and development since 2013. I also runs Pixel Glow Web Design and I find joy in helping business owners of all sizes find a strong and supportive home on the web.

The Most Optimized Performance Possible

The sites we build are required to check off certain checkpoints and goals before going live. This includes a design and layout that you love and a message that your audience will connect with. Our nonprofit web designs are interactive, engaging, responsive, optimized, and just plain beautiful. Our solutions – pairing the right aesthetics with the right tools – yield impressive results. You will convert more donors, improve fundraising efforts, and influence your community.

Meet Your Goals

At the beginning of the process, we’ll go over some of the goals you have. Want to sell a certain number of tickets to your fundraiser? Want to get a certain number of volunteers to sign up? The site will be tailored to meet those specific goals.

Responsive Web Design

You don’t need a pile of statistics to prove that mobile websites are where it’s at. You’re probably reading this on a mobile device right now! Simply put, we think mobile first. Your site will be designed for a mobile device, then adapted to a larger screen to make sure nothing is lacking on phones and tablet experiences. What does that mean?

  • Readable text without zoom
  • Content that fits to screen size
  • Easy-tap call-to-actions
  • No slow moving and heavy software

one price. millions of possibilities.
