your goals are our goals

launch A successful and profitable website.

the Idea

If necessity is the mother of invention, the father must be time.

My name is Allie Nimmons. I’m the founder and sole designer/developer at BEAM. I’ve been working on websites since 2013 and designing them independently since 2015. My main company, Pixel Glow Web Design, provides a multitude of Internet marketing based services to companies of all types.  It was always awkward and often unprofitable to provide website services uniquely structured for nonprofits. So I started BEAM to focus purely on the organizations who are making moves every day to give back to their communities. In other words, you.

how it all began

When BEAM was in it’s youngest stages, I spoke with as many nonprofit owners and board members as I could. I surveyed them and asked them what was most important to them when it came to a website for their nonprofit. The answers were unsurprising but consistent. You needed:

  • A way to share information.
  • A way to collect donations.
  • To promote your events and fundraisers.
  • Basic pages for the most important details.
  • Free training to keep your site up and running.
  • All of it to land within your budget and affordable monthly payments.

But at the end of the day, you needed to serve your town, city, state, and planet in a way that is functional and realistic. BEAM was created to suit those needs.

the mission

I only work with 501c3-certified nonprofit organizations. It doesn’t matter where you are or what you do.

I work with one organization at a time in order to ensure focused attention and quick turn-around time. There is one package available at one price, but it contains everything you need to get your nonprofit up and running on the web. If it’s not clear by now, our mission is to help you in your journey to help others.

who i love to work with

Programs focused on education or STEM

“Beam me up, Scotty!” Science, technology, education, math… providing these opportunities for kids is tough work. If you provide any type of educational or youth enrichment services, I want to work with you.

Health or fitness  charities

I love organizations who help people balance illness, physical ailments, or disability with day-to-day struggles. Like walking a balance beam, these organizations help people remain upright and moving forward.

Arts and theater nonprofits

In our communities, we can use the arts to shine a spotlight on people with amazing artistic skills. The arts provide a beam of hope for people who struggle to find beauty and community in other places.

Community support charities

The structural beams of your community lie in the organizations that give back and expect little in return.  I love working with organizations that do all they can to make their corner of the world a little brighter every day.

Social or civil justice organizations

When there are people who are oppressed, segregated or endangered due to inherent differences, we look to nonprofits to advocate for them and give them a voice. No child should replace a beaming smile with tears or fear because of circumstances they cannot control.
